Welcome to
the University of South Carolina!
The Office of
Orientation and Testing Services offers programs to help new and
current students and their families make the most of their
Carolina experience. We also serve the University faculty and
staff and the surrounding community in a number of ways.
ORIENTATION
Each new
undergraduate student is expected to attend one of our one-day
Orientation sessions. All of our Orientation programs are
designed to assist you with the transition to University life.
At Orientation, new students will meet with an academic advisor,
register for classes, receive the CarolinaCard student ID, and
learn about campus resources, University services, and
University expectations. Your Orientation session will be led
by University administrators with the assistance of qualified
student leaders who will answer your questions and help guide
you into your first semester. Although you will visit various
areas of campus associated with your field of study, a
comprehensive tour is not part of the Orientation day; if you’d
like a guided campus tour, you can schedule one with the
Visitor
Center.
TESTING
In addition to
administering placement tests for new students, our office opens
its doors to the public in order to offer a range of other tests
including computerized graduate admission exams (e.g. GRE or
Miller Analogies), as well as various certification and
correspondence exams. Proctoring services are also available. | |
