Welcome to
the University of South Carolina!
ORIENTATION
Each
new undergraduate student is expected to attend one of our one-day
Orientation sessions. Orientation
is the best way to meet your advisor, register for classes, and begin
your transition into life at the University of South Carolina.
At Orientation, new students will
- become familiar with University expectations
- learn about campus services and resources
- meet with an academic advisor
- register for classes
- receive their CarolinaCard student ID
Your
Orientation session will be led by University administrators with the
assistance of qualified student leaders who will answer your questions
and help guide you into your first semester. Although you will
visit various areas of campus associated with your field of study, a
comprehensive tour is not part of the Orientation day. If you'd like a
guided campus tour, you can schedule one with the Visitor Center. Information about current Orientation programs can be found to the right.
TESTING
In addition to assisting with placement tests
for new students, our office opens its doors to the public in order to
offer a range of weekly computerized exams and exam services including
