
Although PLACEMENT TESTS for new students are administered directly by the math
and foreign language departments, we do provide general information
about those exams since most students take them in conjunction with New
Student Orientation and their first advisement session. Placement tests
determine math and foreign language proficiency and, if necessary,

offering on a regular basis exams for entry in to certificate,
professional, or graduate programs as well as proctoring services
for students engaged in distance education. for any of the exams listed above. Test candidates are encouraged
to consult the bulletin provided by the associated test company.
In addition, commercially prepared study guides are available at most
bookstores or libraries, and the University's Department of Continuing Education and Conferences offers prep workshops several times a year.
